and the surprise is…was….
Mr. Husband Person surprised yours truly and turned up outside my apartment on Friday. Hence my being missing in action. SURPRISE INDEED!!! With only a week to go on my internship assignment, he couldn’t miss out on the experiencing the goodness that is St. Lucia. Garcons( used in kweyol to address friends) I went into tour guide mode…..after all I do know this little island quite well after all my excursions. NORTH TO SOUTH…EAST TO WEST…..
FRIDAY First Stop for all tourist is Gros Islet Street party, the orgy of music and moving bodies that I first experienced on Day 14. Good food as always!

On SATURDAY, after the Mr. roamed historic Castries by himself (i was getting the hair did) we were off to Pigeon Island where I hiked with a few friends way back in September on my 15th day here. No hiking this time just a good relaxed beach day. Look at the poor tourist who escaped the winter on North America….beach happy!

Please dont hurt me colonial master……museums are fun when you make fun of HIStory!

Some otherwise loyal Jamaican enjoyed the Lucian brew Piton Beer all week end.(I still havent figured out turning around pictures after 6 months)

Allow me to complain about the Impressive Fruit stalls that go from yacht to yacht selling fruits local fruits. Why did he try and sell me a rotting dry coconut as a refreshing drink, and use a fake accent to talk to me? Did he not see Jamaican country gal on my fore head! (hiss teeth) MOVING ON……
After a lovely dinner on we stopped at Country and Western Dance at the one the Country Palace inCastries….sold out crowd to dance country and western music with Caribbean hips and ass!! My curiosity about the place was satisfied! (Video coming soon)
SUNDAY: Drove around 7/8 of the island. Stopped in too many towns to list. Here I am stopping to allow some quite rude cows to pass.

I always wanted to see this church that faces the Atlantic Ocean and is only steps away from the shore line in Dennery, along the east coast.
Post on Sunday’s brunch and entertainment in south of the island(rural parts) coming ….

He did not climb it like I did, but at least he saw the majestic Pitons.

Our tour guide at TET PAUL nature trail Tessa, said we were the first locals she ever guided. She laughed hysterically trying to explain what coffee and coconuts were to us. I faked a Lucian accent as usual to get a cheaper entrance fee…..hahaha!

Watching 4 men try to heist a kite at the beach in Viex Fort was too funny!

Mr. Tourist trying to pretend the water at the Soufriere Sulfur Spring was not over a 100 degrees and did not smell like rotting eggs. It did!!
Let see what else……OHHH HAPPY 31st Independence ST. LUCIA.(FEB.22ND)…one of the perks of living on The Morne is seeing the fireworks and festivities at the Governor General’s residence.

Another post is needed I think…the week end was too much…
